Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

Garthux publishes gaming guides, gamified fitness content, exercise information, calculators, workout tools, and product recommendations. This policy explains how we research, review, disclose, update, and correct that work.

Our Editorial Purpose

Our goal is to help readers make informed decisions and use gaming and fitness information more confidently. Content should be useful to a real reader, clearly written, appropriately sourced, and honest about uncertainty.

How Content is Selected

We prioritize topics that:

  • Answer a clear reader question.
  • Fit Garthux’s gaming, exercise, fitness, nutrition tool, or related site purpose.
  • Can be supported with reliable information or documented first-hand experience.
  • Add useful explanation, comparison, organization, or practical guidance.
  • Can be maintained as games, research, products, and tools change.

Search demand can help identify questions, but we do not publish pages solely to manipulate rankings or repeat keywords.

Research and Sources

The appropriate source depends on the topic.

For gaming content, we prefer:

  • Official developer and publisher announcements.
  • Official patch notes, game documentation, and platform information.
  • Directly observed gameplay or documented testing when performed.
  • Reputable secondary reporting when primary information is unavailable.

For health, exercise, and nutrition content, we prefer:

  • Government health agencies.
  • Peer-reviewed research and systematic reviews.
  • Recognized professional organizations.
  • Original product documentation where relevant.
  • Qualified expert review when individualized or higher-risk claims require it.

Community wikis, forums, social posts, and videos can provide leads or player perspectives, but they should not be labeled official and should not be the sole support for important health or safety claims.

Health and Fitness Review

Health, exercise, nutrition, and body-related content can affect the reader’s well-being:

  • Distinguishes general education from individualized medical advice.
  • Avoids diagnosis, treatment, cure, and guaranteed outcome claims.
  • Includes important safety context and links to the Health and Medical Disclaimer.
  • Dates and reviews claims that can change.
  • Names a qualified reviewer only when that person actually reviewed the final content.

Content must not be labeled medically reviewed unless a qualified reviewer examined it under a document process.

Gaming Updates

Games, patches, platforms, prices, and live-service features change. Gaming pages should identify the relevant version, platform, or checked date when that context matters.

When an older article is updated, material changes should be reflected in the visible updated date and, where useful, an update note.

AI-Assisted Tools

Garthux may use AI-assisted tools for brainstorming, outlines, editing support, or draft preparation. A human editor is responsible for checking the final page, sources, claims, links, disclosures, and usefulness before publication.

We do not intentionally publish raw automated output without human review and added editorial value.

Authors and Reviewers

Pages and articles should identify the responsible public author or editorial team. Author profiles should explain relevant experience, topic area, methodology, and any qualifications without exaggeration.

Corrections

We welcome correction requests. Send:

  • The page URL
  • The section or statement at issue.
  • A clear explanation
  • A primary or authoritative supporting source when available.

Send requests through Contact Garthux or email garthuxc@garthux.com with the subject Correction Request.

For a confirmed material error, Garthux will:

  1. Correct the content as promptly as reasonably possible.
  2. Update the reviewed/modified date where appropriate.
  3. Add a correction or update note when readers need to understand a significant change.
  4. Review related pages when the same issue may appear elsewhere.

Minor spelling, punctuation, formatting, and broken-link fixes may be made without a separate correction note.

Reader Feedback and Complaints

Readers can contact Garthux about sourcing, accessibility, disclosures, privacy, or editorial concerns. We review good-faith reports and route them to the appropriate process.

Policy Updates

We review this policy when the editorial process, tools, staffing, or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
