Updated November 4, 2026. The Glade of Dreams has a new date. Ubisoft lists Rayman Legends Retold for December 3, 2026, rather than the originally announced October 1 launch. If you want a colorful shared-screen game for the holidays, the confirmed hook is straightforward: the full adventure supports up to four people on one couch.
Release date and platforms
Ubisoft lists PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 for December 3. Its page also mentions GeForce Now and Blacknut cloud services. The game reimagines the earlier platformer with revised visuals, a retold story, voiced scenes, a new realm and musical stages.
How does four-player co-op work?
Ubisoft explicitly confirms local couch co-op for up to four players through the adventure, as well as solo play. That does not by itself establish online co-op. Steam currently displays a “Cross-Platform Multiplayer” feature label while Ubisoft’s own description emphasizes couch co-op and does not explain online matchmaking. Treat online play and cross-play as unresolved until Ubisoft clarifies how that store label applies. Steam Remote Play Together is not the same as native online co-op.
What is included?
Ubisoft says the standard edition includes the base game and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. Its Deluxe Edition adds a Retro Pack and art gallery. Those extras are optional; the confirmed four-player couch experience belongs to the main game. Check your platform’s storefront for regional pricing and edition availability.
Quick answers

Is it split-screen?
Ubisoft calls it couch co-op for up to four. The game shares the local experience; platform-specific display details should be checked at launch.
